Where I Keep All Those Darn Dishes!

This is sort of, kind of, a little bit RELATED to Tablescape Tuesday...
*
I've had a temporary loss of my senses so I thought I'd show you where I keep SOME of my dishes.....
well of course I have some in here
*
In my kitchen I have this set
*
and the Golden Quilt set
*
and these
*
and then there are these
*
And these
*
Now we go to the utility room cabinets
*
*
Here's what I have in this one
*
And look what I have stuffed in here
*
And in here
*
And over here
*
And more here
*
So some of the upper kitchen cabinets have some glassware
*
Some more
*
And some more*
And more
*
And more
*
Now out to the garage...cobwebs & all....
*

*
Punch bowls & clutter
*
More stuff including some party dishes to the right you can't see
*
My chargers...what a mess!
Now I hate to admit it but I do have some glasses & dishes in some boxes somewhere and I didn't show you our everyday dishes, but I think I've proven I'm totally a dish-aholic...can you imagine what my estate sale will be like when I die...LOL

Laughing my butt off! I am sooo glad I am not alone! I used to tell my hubby that I didn't have a problem until I started storing dishes under the bed. God, I hope he doesn't look under the bed. ;o)

I am dragging J over here, to prove to him, I am not the only one with this affliction/addiction/obsession!

I tried to sell some dishes last year. I really didn't really really want to, but put them on our sale, anyway. I decided I am meant to have those dishes, because not one piece sold. They are packed away, in a rubbermaid container, in the basement.

What can I say....I LOVE DISHES!!

I was asked by Lori, of All About Home to give a presentation on tablescapes at the shop. I asked what sort of dishes she wanted to use. She said she doesn't have as many in her shop as I have at home!

Great Tablescape Tuesday post, Bo!

I could never open my cabinets up for pictures to share with the world. How neat and organized you are! I love dishes too. When I remodeled the house we live in, I created a dish pantry, thinking it would provide more than enough storage for all of my dishes. Sadly, I can't fit another dish in there now! I'm looking for more storage for dishes at my house, and you've provided me with some ideas. laurie (bargainhunr on RMS)

It was great fun to see your stashes of dishes and glassware.
As another dishaholic, I have a similar situation of dishes and glassware stored in various cabinets in the kitchen, dining room, hallway, and living room.

Bo - How wonderful! You have more dishes than I and have them stashed into more places. I just love it. I don't have nearly the storage that you have. I gave a beautiful service for 12 with a wheat design to my daughter - just no place to put them. I must confess that my punch bowl is stored in the basement. The dishes in your China closet and the Golden Quilt set are my favorites. I also love ALL of the goblets. What dishes do you use the most? You made my day.
Hugs,
Sweetie

No wonder when I go to the store to buy plates they are OUT! I've always wondered why they just look at me and say "sorry we have no dishes...Bo was just here" Now it all makes sense!

Hey Bo! So YOU'RE the culprit who bought all the ruby glass "charm" dishes so I couldn't complete my set. C'mon, it looks like you have a "few" other sets you could use. You won't even miss them.......

Hi Bo! I knew you could make me feel better. When hubby tells me I'm getting carried away, I can tell him I don't have as many dishes as Bo, and everything will be OK!!! :O) At least you have hiding places...I've got to work on getting me some of those!!! LOL!

Hey, Bo,
Sure enjoying your dishes..
Love the way you set them up to show them all off. I can sure tell you aren't shopping in my little town! Of course, there are some great people here but our daily dishes tend to be more "flexable".. hee.hee..kinda like our napkins...

Bo...my fellow dishaholic...we have the same disease! :-) I love seeing where you store it all. I've been thinking of doing a similar post. I've often thought the same thing...my poor son when I kick the bucket! :-) You have a wonderful collection. Ok, this means I should see a tablesetting from you every Tuesday, right? :-)Susan

WOW! Your dishes are amazing... I am totally inspired to buy more dishes... I'm out of storage space but I think maybe I just need to rearrange some things! I'm sure I don't have nearly enough.

Bo, I am stunned! smile! You are a dish fanatic. I understand because I love dishes to. I gave lots away when we moved here. But I still couldn't compare to your stash! lol

I am having a hard time posting early in the day. Therapy is a large part of my day. Home or at Health Works. sigh. Sorry my comments are so late these days. Think about this...Thrift Store. They love to get dishes. lol

I think between us we could furnish a catering business. You handle the dishes, and I'll take care of the small appliances. Several years ago DH purchased what I labeled, in my mind, an appliance closet. I have at present 2 slow cookers (different sizes), 3 pressure cookers (all different sizes), 2 waffle irons, 1 electric fry pan, a KitchenAid stand mixer, a KitchenAid hand mixer, 3 blenders, two slow roasters, a small convection oven, a Cuisinart food processor, and all manner of other small utensils, some electric, some manual, as might be needed. Let me know when you are ready for this venture to begin. My embarrassment of riches came from 40 years of cooking, and the improvements that have been made in that length of time.
You are the dish girl and I'm the gadget girl.

Oh, I am so loving this post. My heart's desire would be to have a large walk-in pantry just for tableware. I would be in eternal bliss.

And, isn't it a comfort to know we have so many soulmates.

I love your glorious stash!

Bo, I know roses are hard to take care of but I so want some. Climbing roses are my first love as I remember them on the farm. Some new ones are much more resistant to disease but I don't know about grasshoppers, the hateful things. LOL Have a wonderful day my friend.
