~ A SPRING BREAKFAST ~

This is the 31st Tablescape Thursday hosted by Susan
@ BETWEEN NAPS ON THE PORCH Each week the participants exhibit the most creative & lovely offerings. Be sure to hop over there...*
Today I have a simple spring inspired table set for breakfast... won't you come in and join me? The flower arrangement is faux and I have loved it for 16 years!
*
The little bunny is actually a music box that plays "Here Comes Peter Cottontail"...
I hope you can notice the little bunny & chick salt & pepper shakers next to his left foot...*
I chose not to use a napkin ring for the napkin so that the little bunnies would show. I have had the tablecloth & napkins for a number of years & always look forward to using them at this time of the year. The glasses are a hobnail design tumbler.

*
The octagonal yellow plates were a Thrift Store find recently & they will work with several dish patterns I have.

*
Also found these fruit patterned plates at Goodwill...there were 6 of them...

*
The yellow octagonal saucers were found with the other octagonal plates, but the cups were found elsewhere...I only have 2 of those, so the hunt is on...
my flatware is Oneida & I took these photos before I learned from Miss Janice
the spoon should be placed on the saucer at 4 o'clock...isn't it fun to learn these good etiquette rules... I think so!

Well, there you have it...my simple little breakfast table set for spring.
Thank you so much for stopping by & I'll see you at the other bloggers tablescapes....

Your Easter table is wonderful! Love those Goodwill plates!

How beautiful and I think your flowere arrangement is very pretty.
The plates and tablecloth are gorgeous.
I thought your desert spoon was in the correct place. I thought that you put the spoon on the saucer if it is one of the tiny after dinner coffee spoons, otherwise it's ok to place like you have it.
Any way your table setting is beautiful and soooo springy.

Good morning Bo, I love your tablescape today with the bunny table cloth and napkins. Your dishes with the yellow or without, look great. I am a fan of some faux flowers too, no matter what 'they' say. The rabbit and the small chicks S&P's are so sweet and add the perfect touch. I did not know thee spoon should be placed on the saucer either. (4:00 o'clock???) Love the blue glasses.

Thank you for your sweet comment about my post this morning. I had fun posting the #10 cornbread.

I can't believe you have so many comments already this am. You are well loved and it is no surprise to me.

Love you too...Jeanne

Good morning Bo, I just woke up and as I was reading my post I had to laugh. I wrote this late last night and I found so many typos I was shocked. That just goes to show you, being tired does make a difference in efficiency. LOL. Then I said to myself, "please let there not be any comments." There was my faithful Bo and Barbara. Sigh.

Yes, I am feeling pretty good and when I was measured at therapy for my Dr. appointment this AM, it was good progress. This Mon. it will be 8 weeks. I still have at least two months of therapy ahead. FYI therapy is the most important part of the recovery for a knee replacement. Oh dear, personal info. I should be emailing you. This is easier now that it is already written. sigh.

Big hugs to you today...Jeanne

Morning Bo...Love your table, and I spotted more bunnies! Made me long for a warm day. You're right about the scammers at the food pantry. We've had a couple, but because they need quite a bit of documentation in our system, it's easier to separate the wheat from the chaff! It's the odd cases who fall between the cracks that get to me, because usually they are quite elderly. We're definitely still a work in progress and I'm learning how to handle new situations as they arise! Nancy
PS: When I'm out and about, I'll keep an eye out for the Yellow dishes! You need cups, correct???

I love your glasses. I used to have 2 sets of them. They go perfectly with my everyday dishes. Unfortunatly... they all bit the dust on my floor or counter at some time or another. :-(

What a beautiful springy table!

Hello my friend...

Just read your note about my "Brume de Rose" tablescape. Girlfriend, you are the sweetest and your comments are always so kind!!! Thank you!!!

Well darlin'...talking about "pulling out all the stops"...what a beautiful Easter breakfast table you've set! I just love your Easter tablecloth and napkins...they're beautiful and absolutely charming! I can certainly see why you can't hardly wait till this time of the year to put it out! And...your pretty blue fruit plates with the yellow plates...divine...so Spring and Easter like! I'm just going nuts over everyone's bunnies...so this precious little bunny is a music box? Ahhhh...I adore it! I love, love, love your table! Beautifully done, Sweetie!!!

Have a fabulous Friday!
Love ya,
Chari
PS...I didn't know that the spoon should rest on the saucer either...thanks for sharing! I learned something new today!!!

Love Mr. Bunny music box. He looks like such a friendly little guy! I have that same tablecloth, but mine has stains that I'm still trying to remove. Seeing how pretty yours looks makes me want to get mine out and try some more. What great china you found at GW! It all looks so pretty and Spring ready! That s/p shaker set is precious! laurie

Hi Bo, what a wonderful, springtime tablescape! Hope all is well with you and yours, I'm going to a big craft show today, hooray!

Good morning my faithful Bo. You are an early riser and I love reading your comments first thing in the morning. You and Sally are on it!!!

I am not usually the best at commenting in the AM. First of all Beverly calls me early and hates to get off the phone. I have to beg her to let me go and that's not easy. LOL.

We are busy getting ready for my daughter and her family to arrive today. I have to clean my house. Sigh. It is always neat but dust is winning the battle.

Have a wonderful day.

Hugs...Jeanne
