~~Trash To Treasure Tuesday~~

Welcome to "Trash To Treasure Tuesday" conceived & hosted by Diane at A Picture is Worth a 1,000 Words Be sure to go by her wonderful blog and check out the other participants for a fun treasure exploration....

(click on any picture to enlarge)
I found this set of 6 pictures at an Estate Sale for only $6.00
The pictures are actually cloth over padding and measure
3"X4" and are in 5"X6" frames. Sorry about the glare. They are portraits of people from the Renaissance period.

*
Have I gone to the dogs? Well, yes I have...I fell in love with these 16" pooches on a pedestal but didn't like the price of $15.00 and everytime I went back to this little Thrift Store I would want them...and almost a year later, the seller reduced them to $5.95....The original price from the manufacturer is still on the bottom and it is $29.99
Check out the puppy's little pink tongue in the picture on the right and their collars are so realistic too...
*
Some of you have seen "Myrtle"...she reminded me of my childhood Cocker Spaniel so much I had to get her for $20.00. She is 2' tall and when I brought her home my little Pomeranians were none to happy, but they have learned to"love" her...
*
You may remember my $1.00 mirrored pedestal from a garage sale...
I bought an $8.00 cloche at Ross & Voila! here she is...

*
And lastly, this $1.00 telephone from a garage sale...my grandson thinks it's so cool because it has a dial....

Thank you for stopping by to see my "trashy treasures"!

Hey Little Lady, I was getting ready to come bang on your door to see if you were alright, I haven't seen you lately. We are having a garage sale this weekend, it's in our community of 2,000 homes And each clubhouse is going to serve some kind of food. It's going to be huge.I know I'm going to clean out some of my junk. LOL

Hugs,
Chris

Nice work holding off for those dogs at such a cheap price! What a deal. Though I'm still shocked by that $1 telephone. It looks so cool. I could see it next to an old typewriter or other such items. Very beautiful.

Hi Bo, I am coming over through a comment I read by you over at Pat's Back Porch. Your comment inspired me somewhat...About Christmas decorating in the good and bad times. I had already made it up in my mind that I wasn't going to do as much this year...been sick with bronchitis and some other things going on too, but I realize that know matter what we are going through, Christmas is Christmas, and I should do as much as I can, to celebrate the JOY! I have never been to your blog before, but I will return often! Thank you so much, you will never know what that comment meant to me, and I don't usually read other blog comments. I love all your finds, that phone is fantastic! Blessings to you! Nancy

Good morning Bo, Your trash to treasures are wonderful. I want to join in but I haven't figured out anything to post. Maybe I am not looking at this idea the wrong way. I love Diane and really want to join in. We'll see. I especially love your 'Myrtle' and the telephone for a $1.00. I adore thrifty buys.

Thanks for your comments about the cabin. I loved decorating it like a lodge. The table and chairs and the book shelves are rustic. they match and the design is Grizzly Adams. I love them and of course they were a great sale price. The canoe coffee table was a find of my sisters. Lucky me.

Love, Jeanne

Hi Bo - Your patience really paid off in waiting for the poochies. I love the pictures from the Renaissance period. What are your plans for them? Also, the 2' high Spaniel is really cute. It reminds me of my grandparents' Cocker Spaniel, Patsy. That's one neat phone. Your treasures are wonderful.

Sweetie

What lovely treasures! It always amazes me that "another man's trash is my treasure". Unfortunately, the ones I find usually are trash and take a lot to turn them into a treasure, but you have some real finds. Loved seeing all of them. laurie

Thanks for sharing your treasures. I have so many things from garage sales, and you know it really is hit or miss. But the excitement of a really great item makes it worth it. You were tooooo funny when you commented on listening in on party line conversations. Remember picking up that receiver REAL slow???? I mean, that's what I heard people used to do. Ha
