My Bookworm Award

My gal pal Chris at at Chris's Corner passed this award on to me and I wish I were reading something a little romantic, but you know.....Here's how it goes:
Pass this on to 5 blogging friends.
Open the closest book to you, not your favorite or most intellectual book, but the book closest to you at the moment, to page 56.
Write out the 5th sentence, as well as two to five sentences following that...
And it is:
The Shack by William P. Young
Pg. 56 (Large Print Edition)
the 5th sentence says:
"Nan's a lot better at that than I am. I guess she thinks about God differently than most folks. She even calls him Papa because of the closeness of their relationship, if that makes sense."
I'd like to pass this award along to:
3. Ksarra at
Ksarrasarra
5. Shelia at Note Songs
This was fun, pass it on.

I must be losing my mind, or you've enabled comment moderation. I had written that you had guessed it...I had gone out of town for about 24 hours. Thanks so much for the award! You're such a sweetie! If you've finished the book, please let me know if you liked it because I was thinking of getting it for my dad for a Christmas gift. Thanks & LOL! Tar

Good morning Bo, I didn't make to all my favorite bloggers yesterday and so I am trying to catch to today. That is an interesting tag. What will they think of next? LOL Sounds like it might be a good book. Have a wonderful day. It is pouring rain here and the dog won't go out. Sigh.

Hugs...Jeanne

Congrats on your award girlfriend. Thank goodness you didn't pass this on to me. All I have are tablebooks with pictures around here. I don't do a lot of reading, unless it's peoples blogs, or decorating mag's. Never enough time to really, really read something. Love ya! Penny

Hi Bo... Yes I love to read... I just got the book Twilight tonight since I am hearing so much about that series of books by Steven Meyers... and I joined in on Buffies book of the month club... American Pie is the first one to read... in that... I will be going to get the one you recommended too... My biggest problem is I have separation anxiety with my books and can't get rid of them,,, LOL LOL

I love, love, love to read and now that DD is gone (that sounds awful - but you know what I mean) I have nothing but time on my hands. Our house really doesn't get that messy, just needs to be straightened up usually and then I can blog and read all night long!! LOL
Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a good weekend.

Hi Bo, thanks for your cute comment on my silly post today. I am very apt to spill on myself. The bad thing was I went to the drinking fountain to wash off the ice cream and got soaked. My family are always up for some fun. Me too.!!!

Love ya...Jeanne

I know the author of THE SHACK, the amazing self-published novel that's been on the NY Times best-seller list for the past four months. He wrote it for his children, and is somewhat biographical but deeply theological. I think the sentences that you quoted tell why word-of-mouth rather than advertising has sold this book!
