Welcome to Themed Thursday hosted by KD @ http://southernwhimsy.blogspot.com/She has selected "FURRY FRIENDS REAL OR FAUX" as this week's theme...
Be sure to check out her wonderful blog to see the other participants for this fun theme.

I love this picture of a little girl reading to her dog. I bought it a thrift store some time ago and I think it was around $10 which for such a large picture, I thought it was a real bargain.

*Some of you may remember these dogs on a pedestal. I love the little dog's pink tongue sticking out. I waited on them at the thrift store until I got it for $5.95...
*And here's "Ol' Myrtle"...I named this statue that sits on my hearth after a black & white cocker spaniel I had as a child...yes, another thrift store buy for $20.
*And now for my real furry friends...a photo of the 3 together!
Here's my girl Pom...Sasha...she is tiny but she is alpha dog around here...
And this is Beau Jon...her brother...we bought them both at the same time and they'll be 4 years old this month...
And as most of you already know, this is Lil Bear our rescue dog...we so appreciate all of you who had voted for him in the Bissell contest...I'm sorry to say he didn't make the semi-finals, but that's okay because he's still a winner in our hearts!

What sweet little fur babies you have. And Little Bear looks so happy to have found a forever home! Love that print of the little girl reading to her dog, so precious and quite a steal! Hugs, Kathy
What a cute theme!
"Ol' Myrtle"...is soooo cute. I have a dog and girl statue that was my "pet" before I was lucky enough to get Sam....the statues name was Sam too :-)
That is a great picture of all three real pups together!
The real little furry ones just warm your heart on a daily basis, don't they?
The girl reading to the dog is so precious.
Your real babies are precious too. How are your dogs all getting along?
What cute dogs! I would love to get a cutie pie dog like the ones you have, but hubby is only in to rottewilers and other big scary dogs! lol!!
Could you imagine Gabby playing with a rott? Isaiah tries but he throws him to the floor every time when they play, he loves it though, while my heart is in my hand!
Love them all! Be sure to stop by in a couple months to see my dining room. I think you will especially like the fabric I have chosen for some chairs and pillows. Hint Hint dog print that includes a Pom!
A very sweet post, full of love and memories and pretty stuff!
When I first saw Myrtle in your photos, I thought "she" was real. All of your Poms are sweet. Sorry Lil Bear didn't win! He should have!
Bo, thanks for stopping by; been flat on my back for a couple of weeks. Had epideral injections Monday. Will be back in the swing of blogging once I get to feel better. thanks,

I just love my grand dog Pom, Mauri. He's so funny! His nickanme is "twinkle toes" because of the way he walks.:)
Hugs, Pat
OH BO, I had a white Pom as a kid named Pinky and had it for 13 years...love seeing yours and I am sorry lil bear didn't make it...love that picture girl..hugs and smiles Gl♥ria

Bo, I love them! But I really love the real fur babies! They are PRECIOUS! I'm mad that Lil Bear didn't win, but he's still a winner in our book!
After losing our girls (which is still hard to talk about... I just try to count my blessings at how much time we had together), I'm starting to feel like it's getting to be time to look at dogs, and I've always loved poms. I think they look like little foxes. It depends on many things (like what the story is with the rescue... one might win over another in terms of tugging our heartstrings), but I have always, always loved poms.
XO,
Sheila :-)
Your pooches are cute (real & faux). Thanks for sharing.
That's a sweet picture of the little girl and the dog together....a great find! Linda

Wow...what a deal you made on that beautiful print of the little girl reading to her dog...it's always been one of my favorites!!! I just love the old vintage looking prints!!!
All three of those "furbabies" of yours are just precious!!! So sorry that Lil' bear didn't win that contest...he had my vote!!! What sweeties!!!
So happy that you stopped by my place for a visit and thanks for the sweet compliments on my grandbabies...hehe!
Have a great weekend, my friend!

Chari
Oh how cute!!! I hate that Lil Bear didn't win...but he is still the winner to us! Nancy
Hi Bo,
I LOVE your REAL & faux doggies. All are ADORABLE!!!! Awwwww I think Lil Bear should have WON!!!!!♥
Wait a minute! Lil Bear didn't win? The contest was fixed! How could that precious face not win? I'd demand a recount!
Great shots of the "triplets." Narrow Dog usually refuses to look at the camera when I try to take her picture. She must be waiting for me to pay her or something, being the diva that she is.
Your babies are precious. Lil' Bear holds a special place in my heart too, ever since I read of his rescue. God bless people like you and your husband.
You know I love your real fur babies...but that first picture of the girl reading to the dog...it brought the biggest smile to my face! What a precious treasure that is.
What cute pictures, I vote for the real ones with fur, I know that they are so much fun, they just look like they have a ball together. enjoyed
Blessings,
Sue
BO< thanks for coming by and for your prayers for Kyra...still have not heard a thing yet..but they thought surgery would take about 4 hours...hugs and smiles Gl♥ria

The spaniel on your hearth is very precious too.
You have some beautiful dog pieces and to think you got them thrifting...amazes me.
I hope you've had a great day so far..
Judi

Ho Bo! Looks like we were thinking alike for Pink Saturday! Oh, what gorgeous little fuzzy faces! I didn't realize you had the two little white poms. How adorable. Are all the little babies getting along?
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Good morning my Bo. I can't begin to thank you for your ever so many visits and up lifting hugs. This AM I took just one pain pill instead of two so maybe I can begin to start commenting on the many friends who have been so faithful with their visits too. I haven't been able to stay awake or spell one thought without a typepo mess. It is so weird the way these pain pills react. However, the pain relief is a positive. Bill just came over to take my computer because I dozed off in the middle of a sentence. I said. "What are you doing?" He said, "You were asleep." LOL. It is so frustrating.
I adore your post today and I agree the little girl reading to her dog is priceless. I love all of your dogs, real and faux. I love you Bo and your DH too. We are looking forward to meeting you both this summer. Well, I started this comment 40 minutes ago. I can see I just may not be ready for commenting. It took me three hours to post yesterday for today.Sigh. I am doing well as long as the meds are constant. No wonder you shouldn't drive while taking pain meds. Hugs to you and your dh too. His comment is so sweet. It made me smile. He should know I have a little bit of devil in me too. smiling BIG. My DH will agree with the devil in me from time to time. He always says he can always depend on me to see to it he never knows what I might say or do at any given moment. It has worked for almost 45 years. Laughing! Time to give my computer up now. I spent all my energy writing ONE comment. LOL. I'm glad I did. I'll nap now and then I'll write another one. Does this seem rather slow to you?
Love you...Jeanne
My goodness, our Jeanne wrote a book. I guess this means she is awake. ;-)
I love your furry friends. I really miss having one of my very own. :-(
Bo, I made Mr. Magpie take a look at your pups, and he thinks they are just PREDCIOUS! How blessed Lil Bear (and the others) are to have YOU!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Bo, Sammie is my African Grey Parrot. Diz is Narrow Dog.

This is a very fun post Bo. I really like Ole Myrtle a lot--she looks very realisic. All three of your dogs look like such sweeties I know you must have so much fun with them.
Hi Bo, what a cute post! I've always loved the picture of the little girl reading to her dog. Love the "faux" dogs too, my Momma had one that sat next to her steps. And of course your own real ones are TOO CUTE FOR WORDS!!!

Are you kiddin' me, Bo ? I went to Ash St. school, too, and it was later turned into the Jr. Hi which I also attended, then graduated from Plainview High School. We moved to Plainview when I was in
2nd grade and I didn't move from there until about 1974. We live in Lubbock, which is only 45 miles away from Plainview and I still have friends that live there.
GOOD GRIEF...talk about a small world...
Bo. good morning my friend.. thanks for the visit to see the blue. I hope you had a beautiful Sunday and got recharged as well..ours was wonderful..everyone needs those kinds of days.. off to take hubby to the doctor..

Awwwwwww, Bo these are soooooo cute!!!
Thanks for stopping by...I would LOVE to buy one of these OLD homes and decorate it...maybe someday!
Meanwhile I have our 3 year old home to finish re-decorating.
;-)

Oh, Bo, what gorgeous little fur babies you have. I would love to get a little pom. Does their fur mat easily? Is it hard to maintain their coat? I'm not so fastidious with Duchess because her hair does not tangle, and I'm kinda lazy. Am really considering another yorkie, but those little poms are so darn cute, too!
Hi Bo:
I got your message about playing along on I Wonder Wednesday! Thanks for letting me know!
HI Dear Bo!! Thanks for the visit and liking our transformed den. Oh, shoot no! I didn't see any ghost! Shoot!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)
Hi...
Happy Valentine's Day Toooooo......
Bo, What adorable FUR BABIES! Precious! ~CC Catherine ;)
Hey Bo...love the pretty header pic! The furbabies are adorable!
Soooo you want some 'energy pills' huh? Well I don't know...let me see..I don't remember taking anything new....I do have a new body wash...that smells real good and is suppose to energize you but I don't think that's it..
Sofie made me take a bite of Birthday cake with sprinkles on it (no wait...I spit those out so that couldn't be it)
The only thing I can think of is that Bill bought me the new cabinet and I had to re-
arrange two rooms just to fit it in...now I remember!!!! after moving old cabinet into study and study cabinet into carport...I decorated the new cabinet and then had to decorate the table...then just had to decorate the foyer table and turned around and the chicken border just hit me the wrong way...started tearing it off and then had to paint to clean up that mess..then realized the walls were naked so had to go digging in the shed to find some stuff...THAT'S IT...I REMEMBERED NOW...JUST GO BUY A NEW PIECE OF FURNITURE..YOU'LL HAVE MORE ENERGY THAT YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH..oh I am so glad I could help you with that girl! lol lol
Good Morning!!!
You have been tagged...come and visit me...if you dare..*hugs*
have a nice day
Judi
Good morning, Bo, you brown-eyed girl...
Hope your day is good.
Good morning my friend.. thanks for the visit..We can burn here if the weather conditions are right..but thought I would get a jump on things..lol.. I'm glad to lighten the load around here..after "having" to keep them for so long and not ever seeing them..it's not for the space to be freed up.. I hope all is well with you..hugs ~lynne~

Hello Bo, a quick note to let you know I am feeling better today and actually have some energy. I have visited a few posts and hope to visit more. I have missed you today Bo. Where have you been? Hope all is well with both of you. Love and hugs...Jeanne
Bo,
I hope you get my comment (I'm 87th!!). I want to thank you for stopping by my blog the last few times, it is so sweet of you, but somehow your posts were not coming up on my feed (?) so I just popped over.
Furry Friends looks like a fun day, I will have to try it!! Your babies are just beautiful~so well groomed~they look like they get a lot of love!!
The 1st picture you have (of the little girl & dog) looks like it is by a long ago artist by the name of Betsy Pease Gutman. If I am correct, and I am not an expert, but I loved her work and once framed a few 5X7 notecards of hers. I probably spent more money doing that than you paid for your portrait~ LOL
Have a great day & hopefully I will not miss a post again!! :-)
xoxo
Janie
