I was shocked, confused, bewildered as I entered Heaven's door,
Not by the beauty of it all, nor the lights or its decor.
But it was the folks in Heaven who made me sputter and gasp...the thieves, the liars, the sinners, the alcoholics, the trash...
There stood the kid from the seventh grade who swiped my lunch money twice,
Next to him was my old neighbor who never said anything nice.

Herb, who I always thought was rotting in hell, was sitting pretty on cloud nine, looking incredibly well.

Boy, isn't that true. I always say we'll be shocked when we get to heaven and see who is there!! Thank God for GRACE; none of us deserve heaven, but through Jesus, and what He did for us, we can all have heaven!
Blessings,
Sher

Good morning Brown Eyes. This is my first time here for a visit. This poem should be a hearty breakfast (food for thought) for quite a few of us.... (smile)
Thank you for sharing such wise words of wisdom!

Bo, you come up with the most interesting posts. I guess that poem tells us we only have to ask forgiveness and confess our faith in Jesus to go to heaven. The crunch is, you have to believe it with all your heart. Interesting thinking.
Hugs and blessings, Jeanne
Whoa! That's the truth! One of my biggest faults is judgmentalism. I hate it. I ask God to help me with it almost every day! That was a great poem!!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
