Tablescape Tuesday

Here we are again at the end of the year and Susan at BETWEEN NAPS ON THE PORCH is our hostess for Tablescape Tuesday...Be sure & check out her wonderful blog to see other participants of this fun event...

*

*

*

I'm showing my red & white FAUX Johnson Bros. type dishware...I have a service for 12...but why, I don't know because I have only served 8 at the max...haha...
and for this posting, I've only set the table for 4...

*

*

*
And for my centerpiece I'm using this caroling family which is made of pewter & we bought at a steal because the boy was missing from the quartet...yay! for our pocketbook... this retailed for $75. but we got it after Christmas for $12.50!!!

*

*

*

Now at this place setting...I'm using a Christmas ball as a napkin ring...yes, I know it's not Christmas green

*

*

*

Now, at our imaginary dinner, we'll serve soup...so here's the soup bowl..

*

*

*

Then we'll have an imaginary salad in this decorative plate from HOME INTERIORS that says it's not for food use, but only for decorative purposes...so don't eat your salad...

*

*

*

And here's the dinner plate for our imaginary dinner... the pattern is named 17th century!

*
*

*

And in case you're still with me, check out the cup & saucer plus the Christmas Tree wine stem on the glass....

Thank you for coming by my imaginary dinner and I hope you left with a full tummy of imaginary vittles...no calories involved ...

Your carolers make a very interesting centerpiece. I would never have thought of that, you are way too clever. I like your wall hangings also.
Your table covering looks so old fashioned with the cut-outs and the delicate threads joining it together. Goes perfectly with a pattern named 17th century.
Love the green stems on the glassware.

And I'm like you - I just have to imagine take-out food on those plates!

I just love your tablescape, and I love your sense of humor even more! Several of the decorative plates I inherited are labeled "not for food use" and I've always been tempted to take a walk on the wild side and eat off of them. But, I'd probably grow two heads or turn purple or something, so I have restrained myself. Your pewter centerpiece is fabulous!!! What a fantastic bargain! I just love that Santa plate. Those vibrant colors are wonderful!
